General FAQs

Do I have to have a web site to use the Sinulator?
 No. We provide you with a web page that people can use to control your toy. All they will need to do is enter the email address you provided when you installed your Sinulator. Then they can use our lookup tool to find and control your toy!

If already have a web cam and or web site - we invite you learn more about the special features available for performers.

If you are just getting started, it is important to note that the Sinulator is 100% compatible with web streaming solutions like IVISTA in which the web-cam and webserver all reside on the same Microsoft windows machine.

Can I limit what the person controlling my toy is doing?
 Yes. We have designed the software with a "limit" feature that allows you to set how intense you want the vibrations or rotations to be. For example - let's say you never want to have the toy vibrate higher than level 3. You would set a "limit" on your software like this:

If the person controlling the toy tries to make the toy vibrate at a level greater than 3 - the software will show you what you are experiencing (in blue) and the additional amount the person on the other end wants you to experience (in red). However - the Sinulator will only vibrate/rotate within the limits you set.

What if I don't like what my customer is doing?
 You can immediately turn off the toy by flipping the power switch on the mobile receiver. This will immediately stop the toy from rotating and/or vibrating.

Will the person controlling my toy know I have set limits or turned it off?
 No - not unless you tell them. Even if you turn the toy off, the Performer Software will continue to display the requests being sent by your customer.

Can people see my IP address?
 No. Our Relay Service will hide your IP address from the public.

If I don't like it can I get a refund?
 Yes. The Sinulator comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. If you don't like it you can return the product and receive a full refund of the purchase price. To qualify you will need to notify us by email of your request and return the complete product in good working condition, its original packaging to: Sinulate Entertainment, Product return c/o xxxpresstoys, 901 West Main, Suite A, Auburn WA, 98001-5280

Refunds will be processed once the product is returned and found to be complete and in good working condition.

Is it really wireless?
 Yes! The Transmitter plugs into your computer with a USB cable (included). The receiver is completely mobile and completely self contained - including its own power supply.

What is the wireless range of the Sinulator?
 You should be able to achieve fifty feet (50') line of sight - less if you are going through walls.

Performer FAQs

What are the different ways I can make money with the Sinulator?
 There are lots of creative ways you can make money!! With the Sinulator, you'll be able to advertise an exciting and unique experience: The ability for customers to actually control a wireless toy in your home or studio is a powerful tool to drive traffic to your site! Once they try it... they'll be hooked!

Here are some creative ways that you and your web master can use the Sinulator:

  • Attract more customers with the lure of allowing them to control a wireless toy in your studio!
  • Make more money from your customers by developing creative ways to charge for a more interactive experience.
  • Private Performances where you charge a fixed amount per show (i.e. the virtual lap dance);
  • Private Performances where you charge per minute;
  • Public Performances where one person controls the toy while other customers watch (fixed price up sell or by the minute);
  • An auctions where users "bid" for a private performance or the right to "drive" while other people watch;
  • "Control Rotation" where users wait their turn to "drive"; or
  • As a reward for a specific customer.

Web Master FAQs

What is the Sinulate Relay Service? - How does it work?
 Our relay service ensures that the correct control signals get sent to the correct wireless toy. Our relay service hides the IP address of the performer and ensures that the correct control signals get sent to the correct toy.

The relay service runs our servers and uses encrypted XML.

How much bandwidth do the Sinulate Signals take up?
 Very little. We know that you are routing video and possibly voice on the same line so we've tried to make it as small as possible

Affiliate & Reseller FAQs

What does it cost to join?
 Nothing. We pay you! Being a Sinulate merchandise reseller is a win/win proposition. Every sale referred by your site earns a commission. You can post Sinulate buttons, banners, and text links on your site and immediately start making money - and you never need to pay us a dime!

How does the Sinulate Affiliate Program work?
 It's simple. Sinulate supplies its affiliates with buttons, banners and text links that lead directly to Sinulate. Each of these items and with specially "tagged" URLs that identify the Affiliate's site. Affiliates place these links and the specially tagged URLs on their web site(s). Sinulate uses a third party provider that records every sale generated by a click-through from an Affiliate site; the Affiliate will earn 15% of each sale. Payments are made once a month.

What is the criteria for becoming a Sinulate Affiliate
 Naturally, we want to engage quality Affiliates. Simply stated, Sinulate welcomes sites that reflect the style and sensibility of our brand. Sinulate reserves the right to approve, reject, or terminate an Affiliate at any time and for any reason.

Can I use your flash demo on my site?

How often do I get paid?
 We pay commissions to affiliates monthly. The minimum to receive a check from us is $25 in commissions during a calendar month (if you earn less than $25, your commissions carry forward until you have earned the minimum for pay-out.) Commission checks for U.S. affiliates should be out to you approximately 3 weeks after the close of each calendar month.

I have an international market. Can I sell the Sinulator in Europe or Asia
 No. The Sinulator has been tested to meet FCC standards in the US and IC standards in Canada. We have not received permission to sell the product outside North America. At this time we are only permitted to US and Canadian addresses. If you have a large customer located outside of the United States or Canada please contact us at [email protected] and describe the business opportunity. If conditions are right - we will accelerate our push into Europe and Asia.

Can I view my account status at any time?
 Yes. You can login to the Affiliate System anytime and see your current up-to-date commission status.

Can I use more than one graphic?
 Yes. You may use as many graphics as you like provided they all link to the Sinulate site.

I noticed you have many different graphics - How do I know which ones are right for me?
 The Sinulator can be sold to many different markets and from many different types of sellers. For example if you currently perform on-line and you want to sell the female or male version of the Sinulator you will need to choose the graphic that best suits this market. What are your content guidelines
 Our Affiliates sites must be aimed at an adult audience and must not include any content (or be linked to any site that includes any content) that in any way does the following:

  • Features or promotes sexuality in an obscene, distasteful or harmful manner, including, without limitation, violence, rape, incest, child pornography or bestiality
  • Features or promotes exploitation and/or abuse of people or animals
  • Features or promotes discrimination based on ethnicity, race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age
  • Features or promotes violence
  • Features or promotes harmful, threatening, defamatory or harassing activities
  • Features or promotes illegal activities
  • Features or promotes drug paraphernalia or weapons
  • Violates the intellectual property rights of us or any third party, including, without limitation, the unauthorized use of patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade names or domain names.

I'm still building my web site - is it too early to apply?
 Because of the importance of our Affiliate content guidelines stated above, Sinulate cannot make a reasonable appraisal of a site that's still under construction. Get up and running and we'll be happy to consider your application at that time. The approval process happens within a matter of days, so there's no need to apply before your site is functional. I have more than one web site

I have more than one web site. Do I have to apply separately for each one?
 Yes. You must file a separate application and submit a separate Affiliate Network Operating Agreement for each web site. You cannot have multiple sites under one Affiliate account. But if you establish multiple accounts for multiple sites, we'll pay you separately or all together on one check; that's up to you.

I've been approved. Now what?
 You will receive an email with step-by-step instructions within 48 hours of approval.

What if I need to change my information (email, URL, etc.)
 You can edit your affiliate information yourself online.

How do I create a link on my site
 You will receive an email with step-by-step instructions within 48 hours of approval.

What if I don't like the banners you provide?
 We will provide you with a comprehensive selection of banners, graphics and text links, and with specially tagged URLs to be placed behind the links to identify the customers that come to our site from yours. If you are not happy with any of our specially tagged banner or graphic links, and you feel compelled to make your own, you must have it approved by us prior to posting on your site. Under no circumstances are you allowed to create your own banners or graphics that represent, refer or link to Sinulate, and use them without our approval.

Can I put up multiple banners?
 Yes. We recommend it. The more banners you put up the more money you can make!

Can I open a new browser when you banner or link is clicked?
 Yes. One browser window may be opened.

Can I load your site in a frame?
 No. Our site may not be opened or loaded in a frame.

Can I send you forced exit traffic?
 No. All clicks must come from people who consciously choose to visit Sinulate. This means that using Java or any other programming language or technique to alter the behavior of the "Back" or "Close" button is not allowed.

Can I register with search engines?
 Yes. You're encouraged to submit your site to search engines. This is a great way to increase your sales! However, it must be perfectly clear to the customer that you are an affiliate or reseller of Sinulate, and not an employee or legal representative of Sinulate.

Can I "pull" content from Sinulate.com for my site?
 No. All Sinulate content is protected by law. Any unauthorized use or misuse, however unintentional, may violate applicable law. As an Affiliate, your site is a gateway to Sinulate. The button, banner, and text links we provide are designed to reflect the Sinulate brand and identify your site's affiliation with it. If there are elements (such as our online demo) that you want to use on your site , or if you want to syndicate any of our content, please contact us at [email protected] .

Can I mention the Sinulator or Sinulate Entertainment in my advertising?
 Yes, but your affiliation with Sinulate must be clear, and the following statement must be included: "[Site's Name] is a member of the Sinulate Affiliate Program." All other use of the Sinulate trademark, trade name, or domain name must have prior written approval. Contact [email protected] for further information.

What is your privacy policy?
 Privacy is extremely important to our site visitors, our customers and us. All our visitors' and customers' personal information and transaction histories are held in the strictest confidence We will NEVER sell, rent, trade or give our site visitors' or customers' personal information or transaction histories to our Affiliates or to any other company or organization. How does Sinulate track orders?
 All links originating from your site to Sinulate contain a specially formatted tag to identify your site. To ensure accuracy, all sales are tracked by an independent third party called Taboo Tracking LLC. With every referred sale made within the 30-day window we credit your account. It's that simple.

Can I monitor sales in real time?
 Yes, you may log in to your account at any time to see statistics on sales and payments. All data in the system is updated in real time and will immediately appear in any reports. You can also request to have an email sent to you when a sale is made where you will receive credit.

How do I know I'm being paid for all of my sales?
 To ensure the accuracy and credibility of tour affiliate program - the entire system is managed and maintained by an independent third party called Taboo Tracking LLC. Taboo's systems interface with our sales and fulfillment system - so they have visibility to all sales. Taboo's ability to monitor transactions ensures that every affiliate receives the commissions and rewards they are entitled to.

What about income taxes?
 Commissions are taxable income. In January of each year, you will receive IRS form 1099 that documents the total commissions paid during the year. You are responsible for paying any and all taxes associated with the money you receive from Sinulate.
